The Secret Cottage is an idyllic retreat from the stresses of everyday life. Excellent location, beautiful scenery and lots of interesting places to visit and things to do in the surrounding area. Would have no hesitation in recommending to anyone wanting to experience peace and quiet and a slower pace of life for a few days. Beautifully equipped cottage, lovely woodburner, a real cosy and homely atmosphere. Very recommendable!

The cottage was beautifully presented, in lovely grounds. A short walk (perfect for walking off your dinner!) out of the village. It provided a perfect base for getting around Derbyshire. Would definitely return.

A beautiful little cottage in a wonderful location. The cottage is secluded as it's name implies, but there is plenty to do in the surrounding area and good places to eat. Ideally located for every activity or just chill out in the lovely gardens of the cottage.

A beautiful place to have a quiet and peaceful stay. The standard of furnishings is very high. The farmer next door is so friendly and showed us his newborn lambs.

We now know why it was called 'secret cottage', the setting is just superb.

Wonderful scenery, a quiet and relaxing area and the hosts were very welcoming and friendly. There is plenty to do in the area, but equally it is quiet enough to not have to do anything. A thoroughly enjoyable trip in a beautfiul little cottage.
